How About 100 Looney Tunes characters?

Gossamer, the big orange monster.

Jeez, I love Warners but you guys have really picked over the pile.

Gabby Goat
The Honeymousers
Lola Bunny
Goodfeathers
Rita and Runt
Minerva Mink
The Hello Nurse

Owl Jolson
Jack Bunny
(OK Merrie Melodies, does that not count?)

I don’t think anyone’s mentioned the drunken stork that always mid-delivers to the wrong parents. I think he was in more than one episode, but not sure about the parents. I know one set was a mom and pop gorilla.

I was always slightly disturbed by the domestic violence undertones, especially with the bear family.

Did the she-devil appear in more than one episode?

How about Killer the vulture? You know, the “duh, my mama done told me, tuh get sumtin for dinnuh” guy. Bugs was, of course, the lead, but Killer was his foil and got just as much screen time.

Also, how about Bugsy, the short gangster? He appeared in at least two cartoons.

Narf!

  1. Skippy
  2. Slappy
  3. Dr. Scratchnsniff
  4. Katie Kaboom
  5. Triangle Man
  6. Universe Man

(Was there a Person Man? I don’t remember.)

  1. Giovanni Jones

You could also go with Giovanni Jones and Ala Bahma. I forgot about those.

Great minds think alike, I guess.

Oh, Belvedere…come heah, boy!

And the 3 Bears – gigantic Baby, little Papa, middle-sized long-suffering Mama.

The Genie in the Lamp, aka “Smokey” (voiced by Jim Backus, iirc). “Sweet spirits of camphor…can’t a man get any sustenance around here?”

I object to the blatant anti-Tiny Toons bias in the OP.

That said, Shirley the Loon. “Like, totally cosmic, 'kay?”

Frank Sinatra – caricatured in at least 2 WB cartoons (remember The Singing Sword?)

Humphrey Bogart – The “fellow American who’s down on his luck” and Elmer Fudd’s customer in the restaurant (“I want an order of fried rabbit”)

The mad scientist’s big hairy monster: “PEOPLE??? AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!”

That would be Gossamer.

The two Gorillas in “Gorilla My Dreams” (can’t think of their names right now).

Hiawatha

Beaky and Muggsy. Both already on the list.

Slowpoke Rodriguez, Speedy’s buddy. Now we’re getting into the serious obscure.

Is “Ralph the Wolf” really a wolf, or is he just an avatar of Coyote?

And are there 2 coyotes: Coyote (latin name), silent, nemesis of Roadrunner; and Wile E. Coyote, supergenius, who speaks, nemesis of Bugs?

Definitely a different character. They look similar, but the noses are different colored.

And I usually see them without a “the” in their names; Ralph Wolf and Sam Sheepdog.

I maintain that they are two different characters, played by the same actor. This idea has yet to find mainstream acceptance.

It’s hard, being a visionary…

Forgot one: Nasty Canasta.
