We’ve had plenty of book clubs and the like on the SDMB, but I haven’t seen a thread for playing single player computer games “together”, except maybe in the discussion threads for new games. I was thinking we would all fire up an older, good game together, and discuss it as we go along. Anybody want to give it a try?
I’m going to suggest an old goodie: “Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines”. The reasons are mainly that it’s an old, well-loved game, so a lot of people probably have it, but haven’t played it in a while. It’s also available on Steam, so it’s no hassle to get if you already have an account.
Also, there are ton of options, so we would most likely be playing very different games, and could share perspectives with each other.
If you are not familiar with the game, it’s more or less a horror/action RPG, with heavy elements from adventure games, and can be played like an FPS in some sections. You play a vampire, trying to survive in LA undead politics and violence. It’s good.
Any takers? Or maybe takers for playing something else together?
