How accurate is this port scan?

So Im checking this port scan here. (It will start a scan on your ports) I’ve done it in the past & came up green/secure. Now Im getting the yellow “closed but unsecure” for 8 out of 9 ports.

Then at the bottom of the page theres a mssg:* “Reachable ports were found. If these ports were not deliberately left open, there may be a problem with your firewall operation or configuration.” *
I’ve futzed with both firewalls(Windows/McAffee) alternatley turning them on at their higest settings. Then re-testing with same results

Is this port scan result something I should worry about?Does anyone know about this site?

-Thanks, TM

Ok so I clicked my linky,it didn’t work. Heres one that works:

I can’t answer any of your questions but, I’m running the free version of ZoneAlarm and the site shows ALL my ports as secure (ran it twice).

CMC +fnord!

There’s a small explanation near the top about what that means, and it’s as good as any. Basically, in their vernacular, “closed but unsecure” means your firewall is not specifically blocking that port, but since there is no program actually listening to requests on that port, there is basically no chance that anyone can use it for nefarious purposes.

Not sure about your windows firewall settings. You would have to explore the settings for each individual port that the port scanner told you about (not sure if this is possible in the windows firewalls setting, but I would assume so).
