How alike are plain Subarus and WRXs?

I used to have a 2001 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS that I modified a bit (exhaust, intake, suspension).

Now that Subaru offers the WRX, any aftermarket modifications are biased towards that model.

Anyone know how interchangeable parts are between the base Impreza model and the WRX model? I’d love to do the suspension and shifter, but wonder if the WRX is significantly different.

yep they are pretty much the same car, most parts are interchangeable.
