No, she still hasn’t accepted the Easter Bunny situation.
Exactly.
Don’t you like presents from Santa?
Well, Santa is real. The idea of a bunny delivering baskets is just preposterous.
AH!
I think they are dedicated volunteers with thick hides who are crazy enough to take on a thankless job. LOL
Oh great, this whole time I’ve been on a “I wouldn’t do it even if they asked me to” high horse and it turns out y’all haven’t been asking all along.
“If nominated, I will not run. If elected, I will not serve.”
It’s the Tooth fairy I worry about.
Who knows what weirdo is all about.
Yes!!! Like a shoe fairy coming for your worn out sneaks. Fetishes are weird (except for the satin sheet one, that’s totally normal).
They’re grown in large tanks — a la Dr. Krieger — in the back of Cecil’s lab in the basement somewhere.
I been after him to clean out that basement. It’s kinda disgusting.
Something’s growing back there is unhealthy.

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords sounds like an excellent basis for forum moderation.
Well, I didn’t vote for you.
Quoting/adapting Monty Python when it comes to Moderator duties is always appropriate, because so much of their work involves the internet’s favorite theme song:
Spam! Spam! Spam! Spam!
Lovely spam! Wonderful spam!
(yes, I know Discourse catches a good bit of it, but everyone once in a while I’m flagging something that pops up at weird hours when more-sane moderators are resting their wearied minds and souls)
Well, there’s spam egg SDMB and spam, that’s not got much spam in it.
There’s also a lot that Discourse doesn’t outright block but flags as “likely spam”. If i wake up before @What_Exit , i usually delete a bunch of random spam that Discourse helpfully flagged for review.
@engineer_comp_geek is the other often early riser that wipes out the spam and spammers that Discourse doesn’t catch. I think we all collectively took over from Colibri who I believe use to do the bulk of it.
