How best to get rid of expensive spirits.

“How about whiskey balls?”

I didn’t know whiskey came from an animal! Whodathunkit?

Either throw a rocking house party, and let people help themselves (and believe me, people who know how to mix drinks are more than eager to demonstrate their prowess), or attend a party and bring the booze as a house warmer. Nobody really objects to already-opened bottles of spirits. It’s not like they go bad or anything…

Those bottles will also keep for awhile if you just want to put them away.

knock
that’s me outside. please hand over the booze!

Exorcism?

(ducks and runs)

Call up your friends and give it to them, or bring it into work and give it to cow-orkers. They will love you for it.

This can also get you fired rather quickly, unless you park off-site and do the hostage exchange there.

I am ALWAYS late for these damn threads. I can see a thousand anti-war threads, but do I EVER find the drinking threads on time? NO! Don’t even think of pouring it down the drain, please! Are you so strapped for space that you can’t keep a couple bottles around? The stuff does not go bad you know. I suggest you just hang on to it, if worst comes to worst a can of OJ concentrate can make a mixer for the guests. I don’t think of Jim Beam as being anything to write home about, but YMMV.

On the compost thing, I don’t think there is any active yeast, even in wine, and if there was any, the Bicardi probably did the little buggers in.

SEND IT TO ME! SEND IT TO ME!

Just keep it. Someday you might have a guest who enjoys it.
