How big is the creature that made the "Bloop"?

“According to scientists who have studied the phenomenon it matches the audio profile of a living creature but there is no known animal that could have produced the sound. If it is an animal, it would have to be, reportedly, much larger than even a Blue Whale, the largest known animal on the earth.”

Just how big is this thing?

Much larger than even a Blue Whale, according to “scientists”… according to YouTube… according to Wikipedia.

If it is actually an animal, I think you could use this calculator for cavity resonance to obtain some ballpark numbers if you can dig up some info on the frequency.

What bloop?

This bloop: a strange and enormously powerful audio signal recorded by submerged microphones some several times prior to '97.

Fairly big.

It’s Cthulu. The Great Old Ones have really bad gas once in a while.

Already ate a few, apparently.

Cloverfield Monster!

Facinating. This is the first I’ve ever heard of this.

The world of Man maybe getting smaller, but the world itself seems able to still surprise us.

I always assumed it was some kind of seismic event.

Concur. I find no compelling evidence that it was biological in origin.

I think I just hurt something laughing!!

Oh, R’lyeh :dubious:

What exactly is the audio profile of a living creature?

The sound file on the Wikipedia article is rather underwhelming.
