lol, a hamburger bed?? I wonder what those sheets look like!
I sleep alone on a queen. It’s the first real bed I’ve ever bought, having slept for years on a series of futons and air mattresses. I bought it about 4 months ago, and it is wonderful. Soft and sinky-in-to-y. I have no desire for anyone else to ever sleep in my bed. EVER. If I ever get married (doubtful at this point, but I guess it could happen), I’m insisting on separate bedrooms. Because I love my bed!
I grew up in the UK, where mattresses are much smaller, so even a queen seems huge to me (although my wife says I kick in my sleep). We’ll probably trade up to a king when we have crotchfruit.
I had to bump up to a queen once the puppy got big. I suppose I could have tried a full, but there was a used queen on craigslist for $50. The cats appreciate the extra room, even if they don’t appreciate the dog.
Queen now, after a long series of singles and doubles most of my life. Big as I’ll ever need (long as I’m by myself, at least), and a king would nver make it up the stairs to the master BR anyway.
King size with husband and two boxers is almost large enough. Every time hubby asks for another dog I remind him that means he’s sleeping on the floor. So far - no new dogs.
Twin, alone. I’m far too tall for it, and some (ahem) woman appropriated my excellent Imperial Queen I was fond of. Too lazy and poor to bother buying or scrounging a bigger bed – and if I decide to start “dating” we’ll be on the floor before she asks where the bedroom is, so it doesn’t matter.
My bf stays over a couple nights a week now and we share my Tempurpedic Full, which is big enough to spoon in and the dogs sleep in the kennel. When he and his dog are gone, I cuddle up with my body pillow and pug.
King shared with hubby. Prior to him, when I was single, I would have slumber parties and host movie/drinking nights with friends - fitting 3-5 people on the bed at a time. All in good fun, I assure you!
I have a queen size, and I sleep on both sides and sometimes diagonally depending on where the cats are on the bed. Will definitely need a king size if another person starts sharing.
Not even if your new hubby has a hamburger bed? Think about snuggling together under that comfy bun, sharing that slice of cheese and fighting over who gets the pickle, and who gets the tomato.
I currently have a twin, although it’s a very thick twin, and maybe I’m just tall but it seems a little short. But when my housemate moves out I’m inheriting her Full. I currently sleep alone, although I generally found having a twin advantageous when sharing.
King, alone. I guess also with the cat, she does her best to try and take up as much room on it as she can. I also have about 10 pillows so I make myself a fort in the middle of the mattress to sleep in.
I sleep in a hammock. Space is an issue for me; that’s my solution. Been doing it for about 18 months now.
Yes I sleep just fine in it. My back is fine, thanks for asking. No, it’s practically impossible to fall out of a hammock, you’re much more likely to fall out of a bed.
