How 'bout them A's?

If only they could play in the National League. 7 in a row, and 12-1 in interleague, isn’t it? And they are creeping back up on Seattle. It’s gonna be a great series coming up. Too bad Mulder didn’t care to adjust to pitch against the Mariners instead of the Reds.

It’s interetsting that this is the third year in a row where they have recovered from an awful start… hopefully that will continue this year. Mulder and Hudson seem to have come around. Zito could be a legitimate Cy Young candidate if he keeps it up. Aaron Harang, if HE can keep it up, could be the difference.

Also, I’m wondering what tricks Billy Beane has up his sleeve come the end of July. The AL west race should be a good one this year. I think the WC will come out of the AL East, due to the unbalanced schedule, so the A’s will probably need to win the division to make the playoffs. As good as they are, it’s going to be tough. I would not be surprised to see the Angels fall off in the second half.

If they could only play in the hapless NL Central.

If they played in the NL West, they would get trounced.

I dunno spooje, they did pretty well against the Giants this year, and did well against the NL West last year.

Just have to brag that I’m going to the A’s/Mariner’s game tonight. My California grandparents are visiting us right now and they’re coming to the game too. I hope everyone’s still speaking to everyone else by the end of the game.

Heh, heh, heh.

JonScribe, who is an M’s fan

HA! series - 3-1 SEATTLE!!!

lawoot, who is ALSO an M’s fan!

So how 'bout them M’s!

(Another M’s fan)

M’s win the series 3-1 and naturally I go to the game where they get slaughtered. Hmph.

I’m an A’s fan, and I am sad for the day when the Yankees come to get Zito, Mulder, and Hudson.

Baseball needs a salary cap and meaningful revenue sharing, post-haste.
