In a lot of their videos, they do ‘man on the street’ things, with seemingly real people.
Really, are those actors, or just folks?

They have to be real actors. They do the best job I have ever seen at keeping a straight face at ridiculous content. I am very impressed with the Onion’s skill in that regard when it comes to their video satire. I sent a link to my mother yesterday for one of their stories. It was the one about an older mother teaching people how to spy on their grown kids every day through Facebook and Twitter and how to threaten their love interests. My mother was a theater major and thinks that it was real and I still haven’t told her.
That type of thing takes lots of acting skills.
