How can I convert Access database to Excel spreadsheet?

I have some old Microsoft Access .mdb files that I need to take a look at, but I no longer have a copy of Access.

Is there some way to convert these files to Excel spreadsheet (or worksheet)?

I know that if I had Access I could export them to Excel files, but as I said, I no longer have a copy of Access.

Thanks for any help.

My version of Excel (2003) opens .mdb files directly - you will get prompted for which table you want in your sheet

Just download a trial version of MS Office and open them.

Also if free trials, and opening up directly in excel isn’t enough I can answer the op directly

Open a excel spreadsheet and go to the data tab.

Click get external data, then pick access and browse and open your database file.

Almost there! Pick table and hit okay. Your data should be open now.

Now to finish converting it to a spread sheet hit ctrl+a to select all then click the design tab.
Click convert to range and save the spread sheet.

If you want it to look lke a normal spread sheet you can edit the text colors in the home tab.

Export table into Excel?

OpenOffice is free, and it’s database component Base can read & process most Access files.

Download OpenOffice for this.

thanks every1

got it done
