How can I figure out the processor speed on an NT server?

I’ve been asked to determine the processor speed on a Dell PowerEdge 2300 running NT. I’ve tried the usual, ‘right-click’ on my computer and going to properties, but it only displays the ram under the general tab. I’d also rather not have to reboot.

I think I used find it another way, but I cant remember right at the moment and since I sorta bullshitted my way into the ‘acting system administrator’ position, I’d rather not ask someone in my office.

For Windows 2000, it’s in Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Computer Management/System Information. Screenshot.

For NT 4.0, it’s under Start/Programs/Administrative Tools/Diagnostics. How to create a WinMSD Report (MS Knowledgebase).

If you BS your way in, ya gotta have Internet resources available to help you out (in addition to the SDMB).

The free to download demo version of SiSoft Sandra will display this information as well, if all else fails.

If you have a Windows 2000 computer in your NT domain, then you can use the Computer Management MMC to get all sorts of information off of any computer in the domain, including NT4 servers.

restart the computer - it will advise the clock speed on boot. (directly above and before the mem check)
