How can I locate my precise latitude?

I have just purchased a telescope and in order to properly set it up I need to know my latitude. With this information it will be much easier to locate distant objects. Is there a web site out there that can provide me with this information? Without the aid of a GPS I’m really in the dark!!

Peace

um, try looking at a map?

depending on what level of accuracy you need, of course. Your garden-variety map of the US should pin a city down to a degree or two; a 1:50,000 topographic will get you to a handful of seconds…
