LJ has an icon for uploading a photo from your hard drive and including it in your post.
Livejournal still exists? 
In that case, what’s a better site for blogging? I want to start a book review blog.
I’m on blogger, wordpress, dreamwidth, and livejournal. I’ve yet to see a single advantage to wordpress or blogger over LJ. Except for the notion you’ll encounter among your intended audience that you’re still using LiveJournal and that that makes your judgment dubious for some unspecified reason.

FTR, though, LiveJournal does still exist. I turned my blog* over to someone else in 2009, but he’s kept it going since then. Slightly less well-trafficked than it was in my day, but still plugging away.

In my opinion wordpress is the best option for blogger. It is very simple and powerfull in SEO
