Recommend a good blog client

For mouseover previews: can someone recommend a good blog client that will let me post to both LiveJournal and TypePad, preferably a free one?

I have been on LiveJournal since 2002, and I’m comfy there. I really like the Friends structure, and the message board-style commenting. I like my Friends there, too.

I’m starting to get restless, though. Bloglines doesn’t pick up my LiveJournal’s feeds, so only people with LiveJournals can read me on a regular basis (via their Friends pages). I’d really like to be able to reach a broader group of readers. Also, I really dig the sidebar options available on paid blog services like TypePad. I crave a TypePad blog.

I’m thinking that I want to keep the best of both worlds, and write two simultaneous blogs–the TypePad blog for all of my wonderful craftiness and homemaking, and the LJ for all of that plus my discontent, insecure whining. Thus, the call for a recommendation?

Bumping this to expose it to the weekday crowd

I don’t know a thing about Typepad, but I’ll proselytize for Wordpress, which is a terrific, open-source, completely free blog client. You can get, for example, sattua.wordpress.com and start posting literally within about three minutes. It’s massively customizable and intuitively easy to use. Plus if you decide to get your own domain someday (like www.sattua.com), it’s trivially easy to transfer everything over to it.

As for simulposting to LiveJournal, I’m not sure; but you can easily import all your backlog of LJ posts into Wordpress.

I guess this didn’t really answer your questions; sorry. But I’m a big fan of Wordpress.
