How can I shut off my brain and get some *$&%$%#&#$ sleep?

My secret to falling asleep…try to read any work ofphilosophy…try Kant’s “Critique of Pure Reason”, or any works by a modern french philiosopher. I guarantee you will be asleep in minutes!

The problem is, all these little tricks are ok to help you to FALL asleep, but, ones asleep, you subconsious mind takes over which, probably includes your thoughts of the day.

One’s REM is over, your thoughts wake you up and then there you are, thinking of stuff again.

Solution:

There is none as far as I know. I’ve been a semi-insomniac since 8th grade graduation. I remember the night like it was yesterday and it’s been almost 26 years. Up all night watching my little black and white tv.

The ONLY relief is that when you go 6 days of 4 hour per night sleep broken up with an hour between each hour of sleep, on the 7th day you might get 7 STRAIGHT hours of decent sleep. That seems to be MY pattern
