How Can Truth Social be worth $6 Billion? {Trump Media & Technology (DJT)}

I bet if we plotted TS’s beta over time it’s probably not far from 2. Nice way to make money if you can perfectly predict the next move. Because you’re the one making it move.

Closed only 3 cents above the all-time low. Bet we get a new one tomorrow.

SPX is busy heading south too.

Sure be nice to get off the imbecile clown car roller coaster.

Today SPX was up a bit and DJT was significantly down. It closed the week at $7.80 just off its all time low of $7.75

A new bottom was hit today. $7.60

$7.52.

How Can Truth Social be worth $2 Billion?

How indeed.

7.18 at the moment

And closed at $7.06 today.

Is it time for the dead cat bounce now?

I’m so glad that I invested my entire life savings in Truth Social the moment it went public. I knew I could rely on Trump’s renowned business acumen and integrity to steer it to great success, as he always does with everything he touches!

And it has dipped below $7 this morning.

It’s got lovely plumage!

I saw the thread title, and thought of a reddit thread I saved long ago for the luls. Now the short answer to question in the title (it’s no longer “can” but “could”, but you know what I mean) is that a lot of people are gullible fools with too much money. But to get a more detailed sample of how their foolishness works, this is interesting.

I’m not familiar with genuine stock evaluation methods, but the thread OPs method seems to be: DJT has declared they are a streaming company! They will probably get x million subscribers, because Trump is so smart and popular. Netflix/Disney+/… has a market cap of y/million subscribers. Ergo DJT will have a market cap of x*y just from the streaming part. Add up similar theoretical market cap for social media and web services (yes, the OP is sure DJT will be a viable AWS/azure competitor, because why not).

All garnished with a lot of words about how this is not financial advice and anyone who doubt any of this have TDS.

I would have liked to point out how well everything he wrote has aged.
Currently trading at 8.76 $, 5% down on the day. But, to be fair, about 10% up on the month.

I wanted to mock them too but all of the accounts that were pushing for buying that stock are suspended which seems to me that they were shills.

There’s a great post in the thread:

Your numbers are ridiculously over stated and this is basically a word for word repost of the same nonsense posted when this first launch.

This is right wing social media. The comparables are gab and parler and the like. None of them have been able to come close to the type of user base you’re proposing. They’re both toxic to advertisers. This is going to be the same situation, if they can even launch a product, which is a big if.

The idea that this could be a Netflix competitor is legitimate delusion. No one is paying $10 a month to listen to Dan bongino bitch and some neckbeard blogger go off about election fraud. The only thing more delusional than this is the idea that they could invent “right wing web hosting” and pilfer off even a slim fraction of a % of AWS customer base. Google Microsoft and oracle haven’t been able to make a dent despite massive investment, technical knowledge, brand name recognition, infrastructure, and international presence, but hey I guess trump social media might pull it off bc right wing is one hell of a take. Do you have any idea what goes into creating something like AWS? Do you have any technical knowledge whatsoever or did you literally just shit on your keyboard?

The numbers you posted as translating to 60 per share are literally the absolute best case scenario in each category or far out of reach numbers in some cases. Votes and Twitter followers don’t translate to social media user base you moron.

Major pumping going on. Near $10.50.

So presumably dumping will follow.

It’s worth remembering that even though $10.50 is a recent high, it’s very low compared with the price at the beginning of this year, let alone the highs a few years back

Doesn’t mean it’s still not a pump that will greatly benefit the folks who were clued in to buy at recent lows.

You’re surely right that’s scant comfort for the “investors” who bought anywhere near the year-ago high. If any of them are still holding that is.
