How close do you live to your birthplace?

Born: England, live: Scotland.

I was born about 15 minutes away, if traffic is light. I recently met the doctor who delivered me, while on my OB rotation in nursing school.

I’ve never left the womb.

Born in Arizona, moved to Babylonia.

(No, not really. On either count. Google Maps says I live 97.6 miles from the hospital I was born in one state south.)

This depends on if you mean the place of actual birth (the hospital) or the house your parents took you to after leaving the hospital. If the former, then I live in the same town I was born in (although, this wouldn’t have been true a year ago), if the latter, then the same metropolitan area (the Bay Area). Our house was about 20 minutes out of town. I put the latter, because I figured that was more what you meant.

239 miles, or about a 4 hour and 20 minute drive.

7.1 miles from the hospital I was born in.

If I could climb on my roof, I would be able to see the building in which I was born. It’s probably about 1/3 of a mile away.

Born in Philadelphia and living in Montreal for the last 42 years. Lived in NYC and Urbana, IL in between. Still less than 500 miles from where I was born and grew up.

880 miles and 6 states between.

1,292 miles, thank you google maps! I was born in England and currently live in Italy.
I did live in South Africa, apparently google maps can’t calculate that for me!

I moved back to the family home 15 years ago, when I inherited it, so I live on the same piece of property I was most likely conceived on. The old house got picked up and moved, and a new one put up on the old site 25 year ago.

I was away from it from 1964 until 1995 though, coming back regularly for visits and vacations.

The furthest away I lived from my once and current home was 875 miles.

Six times zones and an the Atlantic Ocean lie between me and where I was born.

After many moves and places of more-or-less-permanent residency up to 2,000 miles away, I have for years now lived within 50 minutes’ drive (in clear traffic) of my birthplace.

Same country, but 2,700 km away.

Currently I live about 2000 miles from my birthplace. In 7-8 weeks, I will live about 100 miles from there.

I live one province away from my birthplace - about 682 kms or 8 hours away. No one in my family lives there any longer (well, same province, but different places).

I’m currently working in the same hospital I was born in and typing this from the doctor’s break room, so I’m currently about 100 metres from where I was born.

Born and lived for 26 years in Denver, CO.

For the past two and a half years, I’ve been living out of my backpack. I moved out of my apartment, sold/gave away most of my stuff, put the rest in storage and wandered 'round the globe. I’ve “lived” in India, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia. Now I’m in London, though I’m planning a return trip home next week. Not sure if I’ll stay or continue on.

Most of the time, I feel like I live on another planet.

I was born in Callaway, Nebraska. Then we moved to Madison, Nebraska - then to the second house in Madison, then to Wymore, Nebraska, then to Norfolk, Nebraska, then to Newberg, Wisconsin. Then I had my third birthday.

I remember bits and peices of Nebraska.
