How come there isn't any decent priced 900 ° racing wheel?

Looking at the price of the Logitech G27 racing wheel, i wonder what would be the manufacturing cost of such wheel, and wouldn’t it make sense for a company to offer a cheaper alternative? I could have mentioned other 900 degree racing wheels like the driving force gt but for simplicity’s sake i stuck to g27. Also there was the twin wheel ff900 that was pretty cheap and offered excellent gaming on a budget, why would that cease to exist?

My WAG: it’s a niche market. Not everyone plays racing games, and even fewer people play racing games that benefit from the use of a wheel.

The majority of racing games out there are just as good (if not better) on gamepads.

take ETS 2 for example. huge fan base, not enough wheels with 900 degree support.

The more games there are for the these wheels means the prices can be kept high, the longer the wheel keeps their value. Meaning if there weren’t such games as Euro truck simulator, grid, etc. there wouldn’t be a need, and prices would be kept low.

I had no idea there were gaming wheels with that much rotation. Do you ever use anything like full lock on those in a racing game? 900 degrees is typical for a normal road car, but very unusual for a racing car of any kind, where you need quick inputs.

A 900 degree Logitech G27 is top of the line… look it up on youtube!
