I didn’t know that Baffin Island had such interesting mountains. I’m sure these climbs are quite difficult 9if only because of the cold and the wind). Anyway, has anyone ever been to Baffin Island? Is it a hard place to get to?
I have no clue how hard it is to get there commercially (I suspect quite difficult), but Baffin has a boreal tundra climate. Here’s the climate for Clyde, located quite near Mount Asgard – and the Wiki article suggests that it’s a serious, professional-mountaineering level climb much like one of the Himalayas.

I had looked into flying to Baffin Island to do some kayaking and I can’t remember the exact prices but I do remember that it was very expensive. Around $3,000 return from western Canada. Pretty expensive for a domestic flight.
Also, it would depend on where on the island you wanted to go. Baffin Island is huge. If you want to go to the top, start forking out the dough.
