I have a friend that plays “Thug Life” and, while I want to get other messages from her, I don’t want to receive all the “Thug Life” notifications. There is no option to block “Thug Life” on these notifications or report “Thug Life” because, while the posts are about “Thug Life”, they are rigged so that they come from her. What are my options, if any?
I had a friend really into one of those Crush games. I was able to block posts about that game but don’t remember how; there should be a way to block posts about “Thug Life”.
Maybe if you go to the game’s page and block the page?
From memory because I haven’t been on FB for a couple years, but look for menu in the upper right corner of the post, and see if there is an option to “block similar posts” or “block posts from Thug Life”.
My sister in law used to (well, probably still does) post stupid right wing crap on FB and I needed to find a way to block those posts while still being able to see posts about family stuff.
“Thug Life” sends the messages through her posts, so the options are to block similar posts from her or block posts from her, which I am really trying to avoid doing.
The former may actually be the correct action, if you do it only on those app posts.
On Desktop, another option would be to install FB Purity for your browser. It has a word filter you could use.
Right. For example if my SIL posted something stupid from Fox News, I could click “block posts like this” and it would block posts from Fox News that she posted. But would not block other things she posted.
