How do I check missed calls on an LG A341 phone?

I have an LG A341 phone (flip phone - yes, I know it’s primitive and old, but I’m trying to learn to work it anyway.)

I can figure out how to access my list of missed calls (by pressing the send/call key on the main menu,) but I can’t figure out how to actually listen to the missed calls in the list that comes up.

I did try to google just about everything I could think of related to this problem, and I also looked at the user manual for this type of phone, and didn’t come up with any answers. I tried asking on a couple of cell phone forums, but haven’t gotten answers. I decided to ask here, in case anyone here has an answer.

Thanks.

A missed call is one thing, voicemail is another. You need to check your voicemail. If there is no voicemail, no one who made a call that you missed left a message.

Oh, okay. Thank you for clearing that up.

I did set up my voicemail. It seems now, though, that to access my voicemail, I have to call a number, and I tried calling that number, and the number isn’t working.

Hmm…did you try calling your phone’s number?

I tried calling the cellphone from the landline and leaving a message (on voicemail, I guess it’s called.) I was able to leave a message, but I can’t access the message on my phone now. It’s not like it’s an important message or anything, but I worry about potentially missing important messages.

(I just checked, and the voicemail number is not my own phone number.)

Who’s your service provider? The voice mails will be on their system and not physically on your phone (sorry if you were aware of that). Check what their procedure is for accessing messages.

Verizon for example:
>Enter *VM (*86) on your phone.
>Tap the Call button.
>Follow the prompts to enter your password and retrieve your messages.
Note: If you hear your own or a system greeting, tap the # key to interrupt the greeting and follow the prompts to enter your password and retrieve your messages.

Call your cell phone’s number from your cell phone, not from another phone.

My service provider is Telus.
Thanks for all the answers so far. I have some things to try out now.

Yeppers. Call your own cell phone number from your cell phone. They may ask for a PIN number if you have previously arraigned that, otherwise enter the prompts.
Easy.

Try checking the Telus web page.

I tried phoning my own phone number. After doing that, and pressing a few buttons, I accessed the message.

Thanks to all for the help.

Now if only I could figure out how to change my voicemail/answering machine greeting message. Time for some more googling.
