How do I Close the Facebook Android Instant Messenger Bubble?

Whenever I receive a message from Facebook messenger a round bubble appears on my screen. It has the person’s photo.

I click the bubble, Android Messenger App opens, and I reply.

I close the Messenger App.

But this bubble is still on my screen. It follows me everywhere, YouTube, Chrome, my calendar etc.

I tried closing it by dragging off my screen. Tried long pressing for a menu. Pressing it just opens Messenger again.

It’s bugging me. I finally rebooted the phone to get rid of it. But it’ll come back if I get another message.

Please help me. I can’t look at these bubbles much longer.

Touch the bubble with your finger. Drag to bottom of screen…a circle with X appears. Put picture on the X, so to speak.

Oh, Thank you, Thank you.
That worked.

I had tried dragging it off the screen. But I was going up, to the top.

Now, I know what to do.

It took me awhile to figure it out…I kept thinking they were sending me another message.

To turn off completely, go to the settings and turn off “Chat Heads”
