how do I create a streaming mp3 playlist?

Oh, I see my thread got eaten. Here’s the lowdown:

-I own many CD’s. Some of my favorite tracks I’ve ripped to mp3 (so they’re legal)
-I have server space
-I want to be able to stream my playlists so I can listen to tracks from work.

So how do I do this?

I have done this using freeware from Netjuke:
http://netjuke.sourceforge.net/

It was easy to set up and I can stream content to anywhere on the globe (for an example goto my server at:

pass: uraguest

I would also sign up to the mailing list as the developer is very active and will perosonally answer any questions you have.

The only thing I had to do was rip my mp3’s down to 98 kbps so that my crappy connection (cable, but it has been very slow lately) can handle the streaming speed without lag. Since I have done this I rarely get any lag.

Also, if you have any questions about it (assuming you choose to use this freeware) I will be happy to answer any questions. Mine is running on a Linux machine and works great when streaming to Linux, Macs or Windows players.
