How do I find a photo booth?

All right, so you people seem to know what you’re talking about most of the time. I have this lady friend who is apparently really into photo booths, and I have no idea how to find one. There used to be one in the mall around here, but it seems to have disappeared.

There is a site called photobooth. net that seems to be an online photo booth community, but they seem to only have one location listed in Wisconsin, and I find that highly unlikely.

Any ideas? Will I just have to call every place I can think of that might have one and ask if they do?

If you are in Austin, there is one at Phil’s. The Chuy’s around here used to have them but I think they are gone now ( the booths, not Chuy’s).

If you google, “rent photo booth <city name>” you usually get a hit for a company. I would just call them and see if they know or have placed one nearby.

Or you could just rent one as it isn’t ridiculous and my sister had one at her wedding and it was a lot of fun.

Unfortunately not in Austin, but thanks for the tip.

Disheavel, that’s a good plan, thanks. I’ll try that.

Also yes, the photo booth at the wedding thing has been discussed as well. Actually, not discussed. Stipulated.

I see them in movie theaters a lot.

They’re everywhere in the UK, and France for that matter. In fact, if wikipedia is to be believed there are around 3 times more booths in the UK than America. The fact that you are having trouble finding them in in the States would appear to support that. Funny, I’d always taken it for granted that any given bus station or shopping centre etc has them. The reason of course is that we use them for passport/driver licence pictures etc.

The last one I saw (and used) was in 2003, in the Charing Cross Underground station in London. Let us know if it’s still there (hey, you haven’t told us that you’re ***not ***in London).

Do you have a Livejournal? Is there an LJ community for your city, or cities near you? Ask there. Or Craigslist.

Thanks, everyone. You’re the best. I did find one using Disheavel’s suggestion. Although the Livejournal thing would be good too. I’ll keep that in mind for next time. Thanks a lot!

But does she like to be dialed or just her buttons pushed?

??

Photo not Phone

They’re still fairly common in arcades. Do you have a Dave & Buster’s nearby? I’ve also seen them in boardwalk arcades in resort towns.

Oh, sorry. No Kodak moment for me. My Instamatic wasn’t today. I guess I remain undeveloped here.
