I’ve always had bad posture, and now I want to fix it. Mine looks very close to something like this. I understand that one of the problems with bad posture is weak muscles in the back and abdomen. Are there any exercises I can do to help? Any activities to avoid?
I would highly recommend taking some lessons from an Alexander Technique person. Here is a place to start in Ann Arbor:
There is a lot more to good posture then just standing up straight. You should become aware of the way you use your body/spine in all activities.
