No it’s not as easy as making an appointment and going.
I have a Pontiac Vibe (Toyota Matrix) that is alleged to have a defect with the gas pedal causing unintended acceleration. To eliminate this Toyota & GM came out with a fix to put a shim in the pedal.
On Saturday I was supposed to have this fix applied to my car. I went to a dealer in NJ to have it done. They refused to do it because according to the system my case is closed because the repair was already made. I insisted it was not and they refused to pull the pedal to verify it was done done even if I paid the labor to pull it.
Today I contacted Pontiac and they are saying that my car did have the service done. I know it did not because on the day in question the car was in my job’s parking lot in New Jersey not in OKLAHOMA where they said the job was performed.
I verified the VIN they have on record for my car matches the VIN they said the job was performed on.
What can I do next to get this resolved?
