Every time on start up, I get the following message twice (I delete one, then there’s another one, same message. This has been going on for months. Scans have not found any viruses.

So why is Norton sending me the warning every time I boot, and how do I get it to stop sending them?
Running Norton in safe mode didn’t do it. I downloaded Malwarebytes and ran the quick scan which found: Memory Processes infect: 0
Memory modules infected: 0
Registry keys infected: 44
Registry values infected: 3
Registry data items infected: 1
Folders infected: 28
Files infected: 81
Memory processes infected: (No malicious items detected)
Memory modules infected: (No malicious items detected)
Then there was a long list of specific registry keys, folders, etc. with the notation, “No action taken.” Now what? Malwarebytes didn’t give me options to deal with these infections. Since Norton didn’t find anything with its scans, should I remove Norton?
Help!
Why not? I have used free anti virus software for years. First AVG and now Avast (it seems slightly less resource hungry) and never have any problems. Originally I had Norton but it seems to be a slug in comparison.
