How do i remove melted stuff from an Iron?

Not being a particulalrly domesticly minded man, my iron cleaning expertise is not up to much.

Does anyone have any advice on how to remove melted stuff from an Iron?

What kind of “melted stuff”, garius?

Here’s some general tips.

The method I use with my iron (which is not non-stick) is to stand it (whilst cold) flat in a shallow bowl of cola for 30 mins. The sticky stuff then usually just peels off. :slight_smile:

cheers guys - the advice is much appreciated.

and for the record there appeared to be some kind of nylon-like stuff melted on it.
