How do I remove this weird "email" question on this Google Form? Infuriating!

This is simply a Quiz that I purchased online and in this copy I am sharing here, you can edit it, but please let me know HOW to do what I am trying to do.

Here is the little bugger quiz driving me nuts

Under the title and “form description” is an email spot for students to type in their emails. I don’t need that. My students’ emails are automatically collected and their emails are these long chains of numbers so they are very bad at manually typing them in.

How the heck do I get rid of that question? The one that says Email* and makes them type in their email. I hate that and want it gone!

It won’t let me delete it like a normal question! All the other Q’s I can delete freely and edit them however I like. I want this one gone!

What the heck am I missing?

Again, please feel free to mess with it and let me know. I’ll make a new copy of the original to actually do it.

Thanks!

Under Settings → Responses, uncheck “Collect email addresses”?

That is already off, though that should only collect emails automatically, not require the manual input of them.

Well, when I look at your link in my browser, the “Collect email” setting is turned on. I just turned it off, and the email question disappeared.

Thank you. I am not sure what the heck I was seeing, but this seems to have done it. Thanks and sorry for doubting your answer; it was right!

I love the 'Dope!
