How do I stucco my house?

Not the most interesting of questions, but here goes.

I’ve got about an 8 foot by 8 foot area on the front of my house that I would like to apply stucco to. The rest of the house is already stuccoed. Its just that there is an area about the size of a single car garage opening on the front of my house that has wood instead of stucco.

Anyway, I already know that I have to tear the wood covering off, cover the area in stucco paper, and cover in that chicken wire stuff. What I need to know is the best way to apply the stucco itself. Does anyone have any experience doing this, or can someone give me a reference to a website or book that can explain this?

Do you mean the fake plastic stucco? I hope not. That stuff has been a disaster around here in NC. A lot of people have had to get it ripped off their houses because it was installed badly and caused the wood underneath to get wet and rot. This even happened in houses that cost $300k and up.

In fact the other day I drove past a house that just had all the fake stucco ripped off and the house was wrapped in plastic until they put new siding on the house.
