How do other cultures say, "I have to go to the bathroom."?

When I lived in the US, I hated talking about going to the “bathroom” or “rest room”, because I didn’t want to bathe or rest. If I had to, I’d say, “Where’s the men’s room?”

Those are euphemisms, surely you know that. It’s more polite than saying “I need to take a shit.” In American homes, the bathing facilities are in the same room as the toilet. Asking for one, gets you the other. It is odd to our thinking to have those rooms be separate.
