Finally one of these I actually do. Actually, as a kid, I kept trying to train myself to put my right thumb on top. It never held.
I’m a right-handed, right thumb on top person. I’ve tried many times in the past doing it the other way, just to see. It just felt so totally wrong.
This is amazing: about an hour ago, I was thinking of starting a thread like this.
(And for the record, I’m right-handed and thumbed.)
Exactly this.
Right hand, left thumb on top. Right thumb on top is WRONG and you right-thumbers should all be ASHAMED of yourselves.
Right - handed, left thumb on top. I’m sure that’s significant in some way, but can’t imagine how.
What’s with all the hand-manipulation threads? I thought rape month was last month.
June is Handjob month.
As long as it’s consensual
And the best part is, you can do it at work and not get fired :).
Off to start an arm-crossing thread :D.
(Right handed, left thumb on top. Anything else feels BIZARRE).
I answered right-right, because my right index finger is on top of my left, but my thumbs don’t always take part in the interlace, and may sit side by side on my index finger.
Actually, I don’t often interlace my fingers in that way - I’m more likely to clasp palms - four fingers of right hand folded over left index finger, right thumb resting on left thumb.
Right and right, as is only right.
Does this tell us something about how we use our brain hemispheres or some such?
It tells us you are BAD and WRONG and you should be PUNISHED
Oops, I clicked wrong: right handed, left thumb is on top.
BTW my yoga teacher makes us lace them the “other way” (the other way from how we usually do, whatever that is) and it feels unspeakably vile. It’s amazing how wrong it feels.
