That might be a bad title, so here’s what I mean:
Ms Cups and I were given one of those fancier tupperware-type glass containers that have a silicone insert attached to the lid. When it comes time to clean the tupperware themselves we just throw that in the dishwasher, but I don’t know if that’s good for the lids, specifically, the silicone ring in them.
Half the time, when I take the lid off the container, the band comes with it, which makes me think it’s not the most secure thing in the world. I would hate to throw those lids on the top rack of the dishwasher and have the band come off. Then again, hand washing them is kind of a bitch to do. Have any of you put the lids in the dishwasher? Did the silicone band stay intact?
