How do you play Racquetball

I play doubles all the time. It requires all players to be (a) aware of things, and (b) willing to get hit from time to time. Definitely a playable and fun game, however. No fatalities yet, although a few twisted ankles, some bruises, and one nosebleed.

Quick hijack - is racquetball in America what we in the UK call squash? From a brief look at the rules it apears to be but are there any differences?

Squash is quite different. Ball, racquet, court, and rules are different. Racquetball is played with a live rubber ball, slightly smaller than a tennis ball. Racquets vary, but are short handled, compared to squash racquets, and quite a bit more sturdy, and the face is considerably larger. From what I’ve seen over the years, racquetball racquets have enlarged quite a bit, but squash racquets have stayed pretty much the same. xo C.
