Anyone replace their windows for more energy-efficient windows? How can you really judge?
There are a lot of choices when it comes to windows, but the good ones have some kind of gas between the panes that helps insulate. You can also get UV glass that will keep the sun from bleaching out your furniture. It can be a bit intimidating, but what you do is call a window company (or three) and they’ll come out and measure, discuss, show, even demonstrate windows in your home.
We went with Feldco. Great price, great salesman, great workmanship, and they were in and out in a few hours (in the dead of winter, thankyouverymuch) with no ill effects on us.
Free financing, too. That part rocked.
