How do you spend New Year's Eve?

I’m in my early 60s, no grandkids, and the part about party animal was totally sarcastic. I’ll probably be in bed by 10 tonight. But on the internet, no one knows that you’re not vivacious!

I wound up staying up for the New Year, but didn’t watch TV (we don’t have one) so I wasn’t aware of when it turned into 2016.

Happy New Year!

I’m going for Peking Duck with some friends, then we’re off to dance in the new year. It probably won’t be too late a night, I’m finally feeling human after three days of cold & flu symptoms and don’t want to push it. Logistics are TBD, might drive. Uber and cabs promise to be irritating.

Looks like this year I’ll be watching the dog. I’m good with that.

I’m at the in laws hoping for a relatively uneventful night.

Uneventful is by comparison to the past week when, within the distance I can throw a baseball from my present location, there was one armed robbery of a family member and three fatal shootings (separate events) of neighbors.

I usually stay home with my cats and watch the ball drop on TV, and that’s exactly what I’ll do this evening too.

Usually if we do anything, it’s dinner and a movie. We’ll be seeing The Hateful Eight tonight, then home to keep the dog from going apeshit when the idiots start with the the fireworks.

Sleeping!
