How do you use visa on EBAY?

I know this is a stupid question, and I looked all over the place already, but maybe someone here has done it…

I usually just send a money order, but I won an auction for a thingy for my aunt, and she wants me to use her visa to pay for it.

How do you pay someone with a visa???
I know how you pay a business etc… but a person???

There’s a couple of services available. “Pay Pal” is one where you can send $$ to anyone with an email address (I’d be happy to let you send me some to test it out…)

also Ebay itself has a service. go back to the original auction page, it should have a “click on” way of doing that.

Thanks,
I will look some more.

I went to paypal, but the seller isnt registered.

Join the crowd. I’ve never ordered anything from them myself, but generally speaking the procedure for ordering things on the Web is as follows:

You give them (or type in) the VISA card number, also the expiration date. Sometimes they’ll give you a password for confirmation, sometimes not. Sometimes they’ll want your mother’s maiden name for confirmation, or a Social Security number, or something like that.

Bring up the E-bay payment page and see what happens. If it’s your aunt’s credit card, you may have to get info from her and then get back to E-bay.

(it’s all in the wrist action–flex, move, click, flex, move, click…you need to practice for the coming Christmas shopping season anyway)

http://www.paypal.com is the most common method, thay pay you $5 to join, each party involved in the transaction must be a member. There are other similar companies that provide escrow-type services. I have never used Paypal or any other such service (I have no credit cards).

I found it! thansk guys!

I looked all over the damn site, and didnt see the stupid visa logo!

I am good now,
kisses to you !

No, ebay uses BillPoint.

Paypal.com is another company. Paypal gives you about 5% interest on your money you keep in their acct. This is nice but why on earth would they do that?

handy while e-bay uses “billpoint” as it’s personal system (which I mentioned, but did not name), many sellers on e-bay also use “pay pal”. as far as Pay pal offering interest etc. I’m unfamiliar with that, only have used it as a buyer, so never have any $$ in an account with them in the first place.

Another important thing to remember is that everything on eBay is sold by private sellers, not eBay itself. If a certain seller does not take credit cards (many people don’t trust giving out CC info over the net) you’re SOL.

I have sold stuff on eBay for about a year now and just started using Paypal last summer, before that if someone won any of my auctions I stated clearly in my ads “Money orders only” and I would not accept credit cards.

paypal is useful for non-auction stuff too. As a matter of fact, I imagine its used for plenty of illegal transactions too…
