Something tells me it was more about the accusations about her, than her alleged charisma.

I agree with those who say that people are projecting what they think of her onto her pictures. Especially since there are so many pictures of her, some of which are bound to look strange. (And they are the ones which are likely to be shown in the media.)

What an odd thing to say. It’s the god awful things she did and was accused of doing that made people interested in her. Secondary would probably be her looks and reported slutty behavior. “Charisma” wouldn’t make the top 20 reasons.
ETA, and who the hell loves her? Her own parents want nothing to do with her. She might be the most universally hated person in America right now. No one “loves” her.

I cannot begin to fathom the “hot” comments, either. I wouldn’t give her a second glance if I passed her in the mall, dragging her curiously sleepy kid in tow. She resembles Sarah Silverman, if she’d spent most of her childhood in an attic eating lead paint chips. At best, she looks squarely average teetering on skank—in her less flattering photos, she could be the artist’s model for a cartoon mule.
She sort of reminds me of Alanis Morrisette for some reason.

I agree it’s the ever present pout. Watching her during the trial I constantly had the urge to slap her smug face. And the monkey ears don’t help. I agree that people’s opinion of her in light of the charges probably color our perceptions, but I honestly think her face would annoy me regardless (if she was constantly pouting; maybe not so much if she was smiling). I was watching some stupid Lifetime movie about a couple of teens who killed another teen. The female lead was Holly Marie Combs. Throughout the movie all I could think was “they sure picked the right actress to playthis hateful person cause holy crap do I want to smack her annoying face”, and " when they make the Casey Anthony Story this bitch has the part nailed".

You apparently have absolutely no knowledge at all of how widespread has been the media interest and facination and how widespread the pubic interest has been, and still is in Casey Anthony, all over the United States and all over the world. Everyone finds “something” about her to be fascinated about. Every one tunes into the latest news about Casey, everyone searches the internet for the latest tidbit about Casey.
You apparently do not have a clue about Casey Anthony and her public following.

Why don’t you understand that the fascination is with a young mother who was accused of, and did, horrible, vile things? That is why she is famous. Not because of any charisma you think she has. She doesn’t have a “following.” She has a lynch mob that want her on death row. Well except for you.

Listen, I know Susanann is being all over the top in her responses, but I do get some of her point.
There are plenty of monsters who are known to be quite charismatic. So people who say, “She isn’t charismatic, she’s a monster” aren’t acknowledging that the two aren’t mutually exclusive.
No, she is arguing that the media and the public in general are fascinated by her because she is “charismatic”. The rest of us are saying that her personality is not why the media and public are fascinated by her…it’s because we all believe she was guilty and she got off. It could have been Susanann, herself on trial, and with the same circumstances in the case we would still all be fascinated…and Susanann is hardly charismatic.
I don’t completely agree, except for the part about Susanann having no charisma.
A big part of the reason the media and the public went nuts over this was her young age, looks, and her actions after her kid was “missing.”
The reason she got so much media attention is that she is reasonably attractive physically, and white. If she weighed 285 and had less than eight teeth, I doubt anyone outside the Florida court system would know who she was.
For me, the reason she gives off the creepy vibe is because the very first time I became aware of her existence was in the context of learning that she killed her child. Learning that she is a compulsive liar seals the deal - she’s creepy. Creepy but physically attractive people are worse, in some ways - I can feel conflicted in a way that I wouldn’t if she were physically repulsive.
I have no doubt that her looks will be as fleeting as her fame - ten years from now she will look like five miles of bad road.
