I bought some L’Oreal Kids Fast Drying Shampoo for my four-year-old daughter. My first thought, when I saw it advertised, was that some of the water in the shampoo was replaced with something that evaporates more readily, like alcohol or witch hazel; but the bottle says not. The bottle does not, however, say how it does work. My second thought was that maybe it doesn’t dry faster at all, but it certainly seems to. So, my fellow Dopers, many of whom are smarter than me, how does fast-drying shampoo work?
