How Does One Become a Contestant on a Game Show Network Show?

I’m talking about the current ones they show, not the reruns from back in The Day.

Anyway, the gameshownetwork.com website was no help.

Any ideas?

You write to the network and ask them how to be a contestant on XYZ show. They tell you.

Most of the time, they use locals from LA. I’ve seen ads on the LA craigslist. Usually, when they run searches they will have a notice on gsn.com’s website.

GSN shows many, many repeats. Even the ‘current’ shows may be a year or more old.

Most shows have a bit at the end that says “If you would like to be a contestant on XYZ, call this toll-free number.”

Call it.

That’s how I got on Ben Stein’s show.

Jeapory has try-outs to cull the less capable.
Some pick from the studio audience.

Cool! How did you do? Was it when Jimmy Kimmel was there, too? What was it like?

I’d be more interested in knowing how to become a contestant on a rerun.

You might be able to get a bit part in a Twilight Zone episode that way.

It was a blast- Stein is cool. No, it wasn’t Jimmy, it was replacement skank. I still had fun though, and I made it to the second round but not the final.

Stein is a very different cat, no doubt about it.

Here is a link to the Game Show Networks own bulletin board for contestant and audience information.

You go up to the game building. You first go through a thorough physical test, and then a mental faculties test given by a hot woman in a short skirt. As the last test there is word association. Then, if you pass the tests, the network will tell you which game you have qualified for. If you’re lucky, it will be the running man.
