I’m just getting into these boards. This may be a dumb question or at least “dumb” in not knowing where to go for information.
Anyway, here goes. How do you insert those colored links in messages? I’ve read messages where they instruct you to click on the word “here” and you’re sent to whatever they’re referring to. How is this done?
By reading the FAQ. Also helpful is this page. It is available (and opens in a new window) on the “new reply” page. Click the thing thing that says “help” on the left side of the page.
And the “colored links” are called “hyperlinks.”
If you hit that button on the lower left of the post, “quote”, you can see exactly what they typed to get their hyperlinks. It usually involves the [ and the ] brackets.
I usually just copy the URL I need from the webpage referred to, then on the reply screen click on the “http://” button, type in the word eg. “here” then paste the URL after clicking on OK. Another OK, and it’s there all coded in the reply box.
