How far from where you live now were you born?

1-6-1 over the course of the lifetime (so far).

More than 2 pages easily.

Currently I am in Category 2. I spent 11 years living about 34 miles from where I was born. Then I went to college and spent 3 years in Category 5. Since I return to college in the fall, I will be back in Category 5 in the next few months.

We figured it out last time…someone was over 11,000 miles. They had moved from Australia to somewhere way up north, and the way it worked out was nearly the max you could be.

I think.

I live 362 miles from my place of birth, which makes me a category 5.

I am, however, only just over a hundred miles from the place I consider to be my home town.

  1. Currently about 700 miles, but it will be 7,000 miles in a couple weeks.

Well more than two pages

  1. Really fucking far.

Born Saigon, Vietnam. Currently reside Houston, TX.

Cat. 6, for over 50 years. I’ve only visited my birthplace twice in that time to the best of my recollection. The house I was born in burned down in the mid 50’s.

Category 6 and loving it. ~3000 miles away from home.

I’m a 1 - a full 23 miles from where I was born, but only 6 miles from where I grew up. For about 5 years I was a 2, it’s like a whole nother world in South Denver…

I’m a city type that’s never moved far, but most of my relatives are small town types that never moved (or have moved back). My sister’s about a thousand miles away, but she’s the freak in the family

I think the number of posts is going to be directly related to how many people answer the question, plus some unknown number.

 And I kow at least partially why you’re loving it. Probably for the same reason I’m glad to be 7,000 miles away.

About 4,000 miles (live in Chicago, born and raised in Dublin).

  1. Within 30 miles

I have been in catagory one all of my life.

At the current rate of posts, we will go over two pages.

Jumped from category 1 to category 6 the month I turned 18, briefly moved back home this winter, am now back in category 6. (Born in Philly, raised in NJ, went to school in New Mexico, currently living in Ireland).

I’m about 17 miles from the hospital I was born at.

However, our master bedroom suite occupies approximately the same space as the house where I was conceived.

So, not too far.

Between then and now, I’ve lived all over the country. But when I inherited Stately Mercotan Manor, to become the Mercotan, it made sense to come home.

Is this like Jocko, *the * Doral, in Heinlein’s Glory Road?

Ditto for me, except that I lived in San Diego until my late 20s, when I got married and moved up here.

Just made it within #5 – Cleveland, OH to Lafayette is 376.34 miles according to Mapquest.

Yes, only with a more xymolosely polydactyl tongue.

I’m a Category 1.

My house is approximately two miles from the hospital in which I was born. I’ve moved all around the country and lived in many other towns, but I came back home in the end.

961 miles, actually (so, I’m a strong 6)

I’m guessing at least 3 full pages/150 replies.
