Back to the point, it’s pretty clear to me the ACA has been a train-wreck.

You mean the bill whose primary provisions won’t even hit until January? Calling the ACA a train wreck on account of a website not working on day one is really, really dumb.

It proves that the government can’t even manufacture so much as a paper clip without a disaster happening.

Or, you know, handle a disaster. Like Hurricane Sandy. Oh wait, that was handled about as well as you can handle a hurricane hitting a massive population center. Or run a military. Oh wait, we’re the #1 fighting force in the known universe. Actually, let’s go back to talking about Sandy. I think one of the best ways to look at how republicans and democrats look at government. Bush essentially gutted FEMA, heading it with a succession of hacks who didn’t believe themselves that the program should exist. The result? A government agency completely incapable of dealing with a major disaster like Katrina, and a massive failure. Then a democratic president and congress came in, fixed it up, and we were ready when Sandy hit.

Seriously, the idea that government can’t do anything only seems to be true when republicans, people who build a lot of their political philosophy on that very idea, are in charge. And this is why it’s a really bad idea to vote for people who hold that view. Governments across the world are capable of doing countless things right, and many things better than any other source. But people who think that government can’t do anything right will turn it into a self-fulfilling philosophy.

The government is incompetent and the libs have shown this time after time and it’s time to repeal ACA.

In conservative attempts to drown the government in the bathtub, they neglected to remove the baby first. But I don’t know why I’m trying to apply reason here, because, well, it doesn’t take a genius to notice that you’ve had a bit too much Glenn Beck. Seriously. Gay Muslim choosing a countess? You know, I try to pretend that people like you don’t exist, because every time I hear something that dumb, it makes me think, “Damn, we are really not ready for democracy yet”.

Yeah, I was wondering too. The “gay muslim” is clearly referring to Obama - those are both things people have claimed about him (really, really, really, really, REALLY stupid people, but it still made big waves on the net). But the countess? Selecting? What, do they think his wife owns him or something? Christ.
