How Gore and the Liberals attempted to steal the 2000 Presidential election.

My sources vary from the Wahington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine, etc etc.
Im retired so I have nothing better to do.

You’re going to be a big hit around here. Even I think Coulter is wack.

Ah, I think I may have an idea of who you are.
He is not the best leader we have had by far, but he is leaps and bounds ahead of Gore. I posted this simply to see what type of responses I would get and see what the members of this board were all about.
I think my question has been answered.

Haha, to each his own my son.

The way it works here at the SDMB, Republican, is that you provide your sources. It’s called a link. If you need help learning how to make one, there’s a little button that’ll do it for you.

In short, if you make an assertion, be prepared to prove it.

I seriously doubt it. I’ve never even heard of that other board, and found it only by using a Google search with phrases from your OP as the search term. As of this writing, the SDMB is the only message board on the Internet that I spend any time on. All other message boards pale in comparison.

Interesting.

… and Fox News… no ?

Retired? Let me introduce you to our friend december
(firmly guiding them both to a distant corner)
I’m sure you two will have so much to talk about!

I am prepared to prove it. I said on my first post that if anyone is interested in my citations then to message me and I will list them. Feel free to be the first.

That was another Lott study. Lott “found” that 50% of black republicans votes were not counted. This is obvious nonsense. A competent economist would have realized that his model was wrong, but Lott went ahead and published.

Ah nevermind then, I was told that someone I know from that board posts on here under a different name. I apologize.

This board does seem like my cup of tea.

I believe I already have, as have others. Just in case that isn’t clear enough… let’s see 'em.

Huh? Perhaps you could ask a complete question?

I’m interested.

First I missed out on the link to the other forum, and now this. I must be getting tired.

We link to cites right here in the message, TR. Go ahead.
Be aware, also, that this subject is well-plowed ground here.

If you’re looking for a real discussion instead of an echo chamber, this is the right place, but somehow it doesn’t look like that’s your interest.

The Republican: I still don’t think you understand how this place works. You don’t just post opinions, and then reluctantly cough up cites if people demand them. When you start a discussion, it is expected that you will present a well-formed argument, WITH cites from respected sources to back up any factual assertions you make.

I hope you stick around - this place has the smartest, toughest debaters on the internet. If you want to hone your political opinions, this is the place to do it.

But be warned - stuff that might sound good on a blog will get hacked to pieces here if you don’t do your homework and make sure your arguments are rock solid.

That doesn’t mean this place is the fountain of truth - there are a lot of heavy partisans here, mostly on the left. I agree with you as to what happened in the 2000 election, and I agree with you that Bush is at least as smart as Gore, yet neither of those positions are ‘accepted wisdom’ around here. But that said, the guys that survive on this board (on both the left and right) are about the sharpest people you’re likely to find on the net. So it’s a highly valuable resource.

Just don’t post half-thought-out opinions, or simply repeat something you read on a blog, or uncritically regurgitate something from a known spinner like Ann Coulter. You might as well just coat yourself in barbecue sauce and crawl into a tiger cage.

Republican:

Oh, and don’t waste your time with those that attack you personally, rather than engaging your arguments.
