How has digital movies changed how movies are made?

In pre-digital movies a scene in the 50’s would have cars, etc, of that era. I imagine it was expensive to rent all the props needed.
With today’s digital movies can they just cut and paste a '57 Chevy into the scene?
I know translating is no longer dubbed. And actor’s lips move with the translation, which is cool.
What else has changed in the digital movie world?
Are digitally made movies cheaper to make?

So it seems, more and more, that modern Big Screen entertainment is just a hybrid Frankenmovie, blending live action with really high-quality animation. So it’s like watching Who Framed Roger Rabbit or Jar Jar Binks, but with the animated components made to look really realistic so it’s hard to tell.
