Thanks to wolfpup and others for eloquently putting dotards like Starving in their place. (I wonder if they even have passports. I traveled through Europe on business with an American who refused to go to restaurants or hotels that didn’t take American Express. When I asked him why he had no interest in non-American culture he said all he wanted was to go to sleep to the sound of “Star Spangled Banner” when a TV station signed off!.)

There may not be many who feel as I do on this board, there are millions of us out in the real world, and at least 65 million of us* are fed up enough with your bullshit to have put Donald Trump in the White House despite his many shortcomings.

*Disclaimer: I did not vote for Trump and am not a supporter of him as a person.

Starving brags that he did not vote for Hillary, so even if he’s truthful about not voting for Trump he effectively gave him half a vote.

And lets dispose of the idea that Starving is aware of Trump’s “many shortcomings.” Searching just now I see Starving has made more posts about Trump than Bricker has made praising the democratic virtues of voter suppression. He’s mentioned “Trump” in 165 different threads. (All searches for Posts ran into the 500 result limit.) Here are just a few of the fawning posts to turn up. (There were far too many to sift through, particularly since the ignorances were sickening. But Starving has invested many hours on this Board extolling Trump’s greatness.)

I have highlighted some of the sentences in these Starving posts. The first one was in early 2004 shortly after Starving joined the Board.

Trump has an MBA from Wharton. And I believe his father died long after Trump became successful and well-known. “The Art of the Deal” was published prior to his father’s death.

True, his father was in the construction business and Trump learned a lot from him, and he may (or may not) have had some financial assistance from his father starting out, but The Donald is one sharp cookie and his accomplishments, especially at such a young age (he was only 44 when “The Art of the Deal” was written) are truly astounding.

… I’m telling you guys, I’ve followed Trump for decades, and more and more I have the sinking feeling he’s going to get himself elected. He’s hella smart, knows exactly what he’s doing and what he can get away with and how he’ll come out ahead despite (or perhaps because of) all his flip-flops, belligerent rhetoric and ambiguity on the issues. He knows things about the American electorate that nobody else knows (and most would think impossible if they weren’t seeing it with their own eyes) and how to use it to his advantage. Harry Reid himself has warned about the danger of underestimating Donald Trump and I’d suggest to anyone convinced he’ll never win the presidency that they keep this in mind.

Oh, please. He built the business up to levels his father never reached…and in Manhattan, where his father was afraid to operate. He was a huge success and had already become a multi-billionaire by the time he ran into trouble in the early nineties. (This would be some twenty years after being handed the reins of the Trump Organization, btw, and in no rational sense his father’s business.) He fought long and hard to emerge from the downturn that saw him almost personally bankrupt and has battled back since to earn another multi-billion dollar fortune. Twice he’s earned multi-billion dollar fortunes and of course he gets credit for that. Building a fortune is building a fortune, and building one again from scratch after almost losing it all is even more impressive, as it demonstrates ability and not just luck.

Every day Donald Trump deals effectively with highly intelligent and highly educated architects, bankers, investors and businessmen, most of whom are at the top of their game. He is probably a genius and is and more accomplished by orders of magnitude than almost anybody. He’s not just one in a million but one in three hundred million, as there doesn’t seem to be anyone else the country remotely like him. Others have made bigger fortunes, but not in as difficult a way or as difficult a business as real estate development.

If you want to cover your ears and go “LALALALALA” to keep from having to face the facts about a guy you don’t like and are loathe to give credit to, that’s your prerogative, but I wouldn’t expect to win over many converts with the claims and denials you’re making if I were you.

In the next post, we learn that Trump is indeed playing 7-dimensional chess. His shitholes and pussy-grabbing is all part of an Einsteinian plot to Make America Great Again.

… Trump complains a lot about America’s state of affairs and other things he doesn’t like, but you don’t hear him complaining about his private difficulties or misfortunes and you don’t hear him taking pains to make sure people understand him correctly, or understand and accept whatever it is he’s up to.

Trump is a brilliant guy. He always knows what he’s doing and it’s rarely what everyone thinks it is. He’s always got something up his sleeve and is usually working to achieve things about three or four levels beyond what he appears to be doing on the surface.

People who dismiss Trump as a fool or a dolt or an idiot and who tend to dismiss his business success as due to inherited wealth and serial bankruptcy show by their very words they don’t know what they’re talking about. They remind me of the sort of people who belittle Ringo Starr’s drumming ability. True musicians and*** true money men (i.e., the bankers and investors who finance Trump’s ventures) know where the talent really lies and you don’t hear them running down the abilities or either Ringo Starr or Donald Trump***.

I’m far from convinced that Trump is serious about becoming president. It could be that business has become boring and mundane and he relishes the idea of negotiating with politicos and foreign leaders as being more challenging. But you can pretty well bet that whatever he’s up to, he knows damn well what he wants to accomplish by it. And you can lay pretty good odds that he will.

I’ve highlighted a quote about bankers. Does Starving know that American banks became so disgusted with the Donald’s frauds that he had to turn to Russia for financing?
