How has the disgraced former President Trump pissed you off today?

The headline says it all:

From WAPO

In the waning weeks of Donald Trump’s term, the country’s top military leader repeatedly worried about what the president might do to maintain power after losing reelection, comparing his rhetoric to Adolf Hitler’s during the rise of Nazi Germany and asking confidants whether a coup was forthcoming, according to a new book by two Washington Post reporters.

And then an attempted coup happened but the military, the National Guard and the local and State (Capitol?) police either were caught with their pants down or somehow thought all the chatter was just bluffing. Trumpanzees showed them just how much Law and Order meant to them. Hours upon hours of showing.

I certainly believe they were concerned, but they sure dropped the ball in doing anything about that concern.

His halfwitted namesake thinks that lightning striking a mural of George Floyd was an act of a higher power.

And Princess Ivanka could not be persuaded that liberals and libertarians are different things.

Rotten apples don’t fall far from diseased trees.

Does she think Rand Paul is a liberal?

Apparently, and that Bernie Sanders is libertarian.

Perhaps she could be persuaded with a better analogy.

Something like “a socialite is not the same as a socialist.”

Is there any limit to the man’s gargantuan ego? No. No, there is not:

I think he meant to say that he would have a hard time admitting that they beat him.

If he could beat them, and Biden beat him, that reflects pretty well on the incumbent President…!

And then there’s this. Eyucccccccccccccccch:

Fantastic, the US can really show how diverse we are with the first felon president.

Examining the DumpsterFire v. Washington/Lincoln election, I noted that Washington/Lincoln are both dead - certainly a handicap. Consulting my copy of the US Constitution, that does not appear to bar their running so game on.

No, apparently not.

(Emphasis added.)

And a recent Covid case:

Making the “rotten-lung Republican” the modern equivalent of the “yellow-dog Democrat.”

Grrrrrrr.

From that article:

“Forget about a crime. I see several federal crimes here,” said the former federal prosecutor and CNN analyst Elie Honig, who has recently published a book that is an indictment of Barr’s time in the Trump administration.

Here’s more detail from Honig, who made these comments to CNN’s Erin Burnett:

“I’ll be specific. It is a federal crime to deprive a state of a fair election.

It is a federal crime to solicit false counting of ballots, false certification of an election.

It is a federal crime to conspire against the United States.

Honig said there’s ample evidence for a criminal probe and that current Attorney General Merrick Garland should launch one even though DOJ hasn’t: “This is deadly serious and there has to be consequences. Imagine if there is no consequences for this whatsoever. What kind of message does that send?

Bolding mine.

IOKWRDI ?
seems like that’s been a pretty consistant message.

He has never in his life faced any consequence for any action. I’m sure he feels that the coup attempt will be no different and I’m not so sure he’s wrong. This is unprecedented, a thousand times worse than Watergate- but about 30% of the country believes every word he tweeted so he may well never have to answer for anything. I’m not betting that any prosecutor is going to bring charges and even if he did the presence of one MAGAbot on the jury would prevent any conviction. I’m afraid that as long as he lives and breathes he poses an existential threat to the world.
