How is "Hungry Howies" pizza?

Their Pizza Buffet is great for $6.75. The place is alwayy so busy and the employees always so attentive to the Buffet that the salad bar is imminently fresh and the pizza as well is hot, fresh, and varied. The salad bar is one of my favorite salad bars because of the fresh mushrooms, beets, and garbanzos (some of my favorite salad toppings) and they have the most addictive tiny, buttery, caramelly, cinnamon rolls. Like I said, their spinach pizza is the best I’ve ever had.

I have no complaints with Hungry Howies, it could be that the location that I frequent is better than most, but the Pizza is comparable to Little Ceasars in price only, the product is actuyally much much better… I have a Papa John’s and Hungry Howies nearly eqidistant from me and I always get the HH. Not only because I can get a large one topping for six bucks, but because I actually prefer their pizza to Papa John’s.

I was mistaken of the prices. It is more like seven bucks for a large pizza and the buffet as well. Still a damn good deal. I was taking half their profit margin. But really, this is good pizza at a fair price. Better than I can say about most Pizza gougers.

It would be mediocre pizza if it weren’t for the sauce. The sauce is truly wretched. No idea what they put in that glop to make it taste so vile.

Without the sauce…it wouldn’t be that bad. I liked the flavored crusts.

Not really something I’d eat willingly, though.

My favorite local chain (in Atlanta) would be Fellini’s; Mellow Mushroom is also good. (I’m told the original Mellow Mushroom sign depicted the Mushroom smoking a fat doobie; that’s why he was so Mellow.)

Yeah, they used to really push the psychedelic imagery.

Grant Central and Savage are both pretty good too.
