I think the problem lies in trying to convey scientific concepts through the medium of poetry rather than a systematic discrimination against poets. I’ve got nothing against poetry but it would seem to be deficient in the task of conveying scientific concepts. Not the most precise of ways to convey a theory.

Like trying explain the theory of relativity through the medium of dance. There’s nothing wrong with dance per se, but is it really the best medium to use in this situation?
